ALDEN YEOH

Prior to his career in law, Alden was a recipient of the ASEAN Scholarship at Hwa Chong Institution, Singapore. He read law at the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom where he was awarded the Agnes Sinclair University Undergraduate Scholarship. Having achieved First Class Honours for his degree in law, he went on to pursue  professional training as a Barrister in London, United Kingdom and was called to the Bar as a member of The Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn.

Today, Alden practises in the areas of Corporate and Commercial, Banking & Finance, Real Estate, Construction and Wills & Probate. He has advised both onshore and offshore clients on a diverse range of corporate and commercial deals where his portfolio encompasses the provision of legal and strategical advice on disputes between directors or shareholders, the drafting of various agreements (including contracts for the supply of goods and services, joint venture agreement, shareholders agreement and construction contracts), the handling of local and cross-border transactions including the acquisitions of companies, real property (for example, hotels, medical centres and other mixed residential/commercial properties) and other assets. He also advises on property financing matters and has provided talks to bankers on legal issues involving cross-border financing and the Central Bank of Malaysia's Foreign Exchange Policy.

Further to his commercial practice, Alden also renders legal advice to statutory bodies and has assisted in their engagement with the relevant ministries to consider proposed amendments to existing statutes for purposes of clarifying their respective statutory functions or to provide them with new statutory powers.

​

Outside of law, Alden is passionate about football and has a particularly soft spot for the Liverpool Football Club despite being a fan of the Arsenal Football Club since the days he was first captivated by the majesty of the Invincibles.
